Lifelong Learning Cohort

The Lifelong Learning Community is a cohort of Tzedek Chicago members committed to a year of relationship building and communal learning. Each session will feature an educator, from within the cohort or from the wider Tzedek Community, who will bring a Jewish idea to share with the cohort, followed by a facilitated activity or discussion. Throughout the year, members will deepen their Jewish experience and knowledge, strengthening their sense of belogning in Jewish community. The culmination of our learning is a hybrid Tzedek Chicago Shabbat morning service, during which members will have the choice to be called to the Torah as b’nai mitzvah. Members are also invited to think of other meaningful ways to mark their completion of the cohort, such as a research project, leading prayer or Torah study, or something else. After the program’s end, graduates of the cohort may choose to create or join task forces/committees, create a program (like a learning session, book discussion, e.g.) for the Tzedek community, or possible join as a guest educator in future cohorts.
