Hebrew Club is a participant-led group of Tzedek Chicago members and friends who meet to share learning and challenges related to the Hebrew language. Sessions have been wide-ranging and have thus far focused on a single Torah verse, Hebrew roots, Biblical names, cantillation/trope, Judeo-Arabic, Marx and the Bible, translations and mystical views of the Alef-Bet. We've made visual art, treasure hunted for words in among hand-lettered manuscripts, translated together and shared our struggles with text and the Hebrew language.
